The story narrates the origin of Narmada river found in folklores and mythology in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh states of India. The Graphic Novel displays the transformation of Princess Narmada of Amarkantak region into a Majestic River which provides life to a very large population of all kinds life in central and western India, this story is found in folklores and Mythologies originating from rural areas of Central India, Narmada is proved to be the oldest river of the Indian subcontinent, predating other major rivers like Ganga, Indus, Godavari and Brahmaputra. Cities like Mandu, Omkareshwar, Jabalpur and Maheshwar which are very famous for their Ancient Temples and Ghats are situated on the banks of Narmada. It is said in the earlier times Most of the Shivalingams ( a Monolith stone carved idol of lord shiva) was made only and only from the stone acquired from Narmada River called as "Banalingam", inspired from this I have displayed a visual of Many small Shivlingams originating from river Narmada in my graphic novel. The graphic novel starts with a stanza from Narmada Ashtakam, written by Shri Adi shankaracharya in 8th century, a hindu philosopher and saint.

This comic is entirely hand drawn on cartridge sheet with black acrylic paint and micron pens.
